“The affordable alternative to 5 mo. Club Volleyball Programs that cost $2,500 to $6,000 (plus travel fees!)“
Youth Competitions:
Youth events for all ages typically run from early March through late November. These tournaments are based on age but have the flexibility to allow play at a higher age range to push athletes for a more competitive experience.
Advanced Competition:
Some of our youth athletes are able to play at a higher level, therefore we’ll be entering some adult tournaments, which leads to rankings throughout all of California. Doing well in these tournaments also allows our athletes to attain a player rating!
Club Beach Volleyball
A new experience for kids…
Hi, my name is Cory Gove. I have been playing and coaching both indoor & beach volleyball for over 25 years. My passion for this great sport is something I want to share with the next generation of volleyball players.
NC Beach Volleyball is an affordable alternative to club volleyball programs that cost upwards of $5,000 a year. Coach Gove has been playing and coaching both indoor & beach volleyball for over 25 years. His passion for this great sport is something he enjoys sharing with the next generation of volleyball players. NC Beach Volleyball offers training year-round through volleyball skill camps, individual and small group lessons, summer and fall leagues, and the regular club season. Coach Gove is always thrilled to be doing what he loves and giving back to the sport that has given him so much.
The NC Beach Volleyball program focuses on skill development for all levels and abilities and fosters self-confidence, teamwork, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. Perfect for those who desire to try the sport, as well as those who want to continue to develop their volleyball skills. The youth volleyball program includes both leagues and an instructional clinic. Registration is required for leagues and clinics.
As a new experience for kids and youth ages 10 to 18. Volleyball is an exciting team game that requires communication and teamwork while developing positive, social interaction and a love for physical activity and fitness.
We customize our teaching according to abilities so that all courts are directly overseen by Coach Gove. We strive to do our very best to push you to be the best you can be and help you to understand your potential. No matter what your player ability may be, our goal is to effectively teach the game of beach volleyball through tried-and-true training and dedicated practices.

Two 2-hour practices per week, utilizing courts from Del Mar Dog Beach, Moonlight Beach, and Ponto Beach. (Practice day and times TBD as I am waiting to hear back about being put on the schedule for reserved courts at Carlsbad Beach.)
Competition:
We will play the California Beach Volleyball Association Youth and/or Adult tournaments based on ability of teams as well as hosting our own tournaments and friendly matches throughout the year.
The Future
Next season there will be many additional competitions available to us, such as the AVP Juniors tournaments (there were 9 this season), and Cal Cup Invitational tournaments (there were 10 this year)—equivalent to Nationals for indoor volleyball—as well as many other fun tournaments including the Father–Son Tournament and the Halloween Tournament where you play in costumes!
There are also a lot of opportunities to play in the Men’s divisions almost every weekend, where youth athletes can earn rankings in the adult division for the entire state of California.
(Obviously getting a late start on the season affects our ability to have a packed schedule… However moving forward we’ll look to compete at least twice a month for the whole 7-8 month beach season!)
